What are these so called jobs “Americans” won’t do or are too lazy to do. I keep hearing illegals only take jobs Americans won’t do, what a crock.
I can’t list all the jobs.
But in general, if the undocumented workers were not here, the jobs would be filled by US citizens. And, there would be a push by many industries for more automation.
It’s all part of the equation of number of workers vs. jobs.
Lots of physical labor jobs like landscaping, painting, and simple construction jobs like laying carpet and tile, and moving.
these jobs are “taken” because illegals work for very little pay and the average American cannot live on that little pay.
car wash, gardener, construction, restaurant, cook, factory, janitor, just to name a few.
Not all Americans were spoiled like you and got to go to college. Millions of Americans rely on these menial jobs to make a living, but you probably were told differently by your racist parents.
My husband is a supervisor of a roofing crew- the guy who owns the company only hires illegals- they are cheaper & will work as long as needed. Other people have asked for work & have not been hired.
My sons company laid off all the American workers & when they re-hired they hired illegals. It is a company that makes windows. And yes the American’s they laid off were quite happy working there.
Cleaning offices and homes, which I did for many years. Construction laborers in my area make $25.00 per hour and up. Fast food jobs that seniors and high school students used to get. Lawn maintenance - again, kids used to get these jobs for spending money. List goes on and on.

Does it really matter, people like you will look for any excuse to defend lawlessness and the illegal invasion of the U.S. because your racist to the core. It doesn’t matter that we all know illegals are bad for the U.S., your not listening.

I personally know several people who no longer work in the skilled trades, NAMELY roofers, framers, sheet rockers, concrete block layers etc. THESE GUYS WANTED THEIR JOBS. Some of them had been doing it for years and NOW they can’t get on any crews because illegal mexicans have literally taken over.
I also know a gal who worked cleaning rooms in a hotel that got replaced by what she thinks was an illegal.
This idea that that Americans won’t do certain jobs is ridiculous.Who do you think was doing these jobs BEFORE we were over run with illegals….santa’s elves?
Other than picking oranges ( agricultural jobs ) Americans have worked in fast food restaurant’s, hotels and motels, lawn care , construction jobs, etc for DECADES.

They take landscaping jobs. Maintenance jobs. Construction jobs. Service jobs.
I’m not one of the above, so they havent taken my job. But yes–they take the jobs of the most unskilled and most vulnerable of Americans.
Are the construction jobs of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, bricklaying, and roofing etc., all jobs that, “Americans Won’t Do”? (Just to name a few.)
Yet these very jobs are now overrun with predominately illegal foreign workers. Once most of the ‘old guard’ American workers are sent packing, the industries prevailing wage flattens, wage increases disappear and realized wages are gradually reduced by not keeping up with inflation.
Then what happens is that the jobs now pay so little that most real Americans can’t afford to do them.
Have you seen a preponderance of ‘imported foreign workers’ on the Discovery Channel’s, ‘Dirty Jobs’ with Mike Rowe?

Illegals do jobs Americans will not do (wait for it) AT THAT WAGE. In a true free market, employers raise wages for jobs until the wages meet what people are willing to accept for the work.
What do you think we did for picking vegetables, washing cars, working MacDonalds drive through (always fun with an illegal who speeks no inglish) before the illegal alien invasion?

There are about 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States. The rate of unemployment even during times of what economists consider ‘full employment’ is 5 million. 10 years out of every 12 in the US there is full employment.
So in other words, despite the usual thurtekkinourjawwbs rhetoric, even if every single American was in full permanent employment, you’d still need an extra 7 million people not covered by native Americans plus legal immigrants.
The more astonishing thing is that no one seeks to question why there are 5 million Americans who wouldn’t work in a fit. There’s an instinctive kneejerk reaction of ’sure there are Americans to do those jobs’, but this is patently untrue since even when there are jobs coming out of the US economy’s kazoo, there are still 5,000,000 of their fellow countrymen and women who are glued to their livingroom furniture.
Give me break. Come back and talk when all Americans actually want a job, never mind work at dirty, menial, low-paid ones.
ANY job an illegal fills, is a job taken away from an American.
The low paying jobs would pay more, if fewer people are available to fill them.
The higher paying jobs would quickly be filled by out of work Americans.
Just open your eyes and you will see the jobs the illegals have, then you will know the answer to your own question. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know the answer………for most people.

Construction. I find you are blind or just one of those gated comunity people. I own the company and hire only Americans. No English No Job!. I lose work to people who hire illegals all the time. I then get paid more to fix there shoddy work. They work for less, have few skills, are poorly trained and are just dirty to work around. The notion that illegals do not deprive U.S. citizens of work is ridiculous. I am not going to recite what everybody else is saying (they’re saying that illegals take menial jobs), but I will add that many illegals take white collar jobs as well. Many of them arrive from developed countries with an educated background, which enables them to hold well-paying jobs. This is only a minority of illegals. What about the majority who come from an underpaid and poor background? When they come into the country, they have children and those children go through the U.S. educational system and even onto college. Illegal immigrants take white collar jobs as well as blue collar jobs.
I’d like to add: Pete R, why are you placing Obama into the illegal immigration controversy? If you think he’ll grant amnesty, you are mislead. What makes you think the Democrats are the only ones with designs on illegal immigration? Furthermore, what makes you think that the Republican party will act on illegal immigration now when they had the past 8 years to do it, virtually unopposed for the majority of those years. Conservatives will not lift a finger on this issue because the corrupt Republican party favors big businesses and what do big businesses want more than much of anything? Cheap labor. The Republicans will not do anything to resolve this issue because it provides cheap labor to large corporations.

They take away jobs from teenagers and other lower skilled U.S. tax paying citizens.
